About the DMCA

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act, or DMCA, is a United States copyright law. It establishes a legal framework for copyright holders to request the removal of infringing content from online platforms.

APID complies with the DMCA. We will respond quickly to notices of alleged infringement that meet the requirements of the Act.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe your copyrighted work appears on apid.ae without authorization, please send a written notice to our Designated Copyright Agent. Your notice must include all of the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. This could be an article, photograph, design sketch, or other creative material.
  • Identification of the material that you claim infringes your copyright. Provide its URL or other specific location on apid.ae.
  • Your contact information. This includes your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Submit your complete notice to our Designated Copyright Agent at the email address provided below.

DMCA Counter-Notification

If your content was removed due to a copyright infringement claim, and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. This allows us to restore the content under specific circumstances.

Your counter-notification must include the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material removed and its location before removal.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number.
  • A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court where your address is located (or if outside the U.S., any judicial district in which APID may be found). You must also accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice.

Send your counter-notification to our Designated Copyright Agent via the contact information below. We will forward a copy of your counter-notification to the original complaining party. Content may be reinstated within 10 to 14 business days after we receive a valid counter-notification, unless the copyright owner files a court action seeking an injunction.

Repeat Infringer Policy

APID respects the intellectual property rights of others. We maintain a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, subscribers and account holders who are repeat infringers of copyright.
